There are more than 120 entries of design were chosen in the preliminary phase. While there are ten outstanding entries of design were examined for the next final round. Five main categories made up the prize criteria: theme (20%), innovation (25%), design (25%), marketability (20%), and overall (10%). – The four-member team of "Encounter" incorporates the feeling of Kaohsiung's cityscape into its fashion design by using the city's varied architectural imagery. At the same time, the structure and deconstruction of the architectural imagery are used to interpret the city's diverse architectural faces by demonstrating how to present the city's varied architectural imagery in a wide range of contours. – According to student Wang, the design's features are based on the texture of the structure of the clothing, using various materials such as gray tweed wool fabric to embody the simple architectural beauty of the clear water mold to display the designed costume. The imitation metal material expresses the steel structure of the building. The combination of color brightness-darkness pattern cutting and other architectural features transforms the possible composition of the garment. The various three-dimensional structure-cutting methods highlight the undulating layers of the building surface. – The instructor Ms. Chang Ying-Ling said that the students created multifaceted designs by combining Kaohsiung's architecture with its humanistic scenery and diverse outlook; they then used professional aesthetics to highlight the city's beauty and make it more vital and deserving of recognition. The competition appreciated the students' original thinking, and they look forward to future industry-academic collaboration so that the team can showcase Kaohsiung's beauty. – Department Chair Mr. Hung-Jen Chen expressed the students from fashion design were competing with other outstanding designers of all ages from all over the country. They are not only to see the innovative design thinking of other talented designers from the competition. Hopefully, students will be more motivated and enjoy this design path.
