Introduction to key industry departments

What is a key industrial department?
The Taiwanese government is promoting a new economic model focused on innovation, employment, and distribution. They are pursuing this through three strategies: Connecting to the Future, Connecting Globally, and Connecting Locally. The "5+2 Industrial Innovation Program" includes intelligent Machine, Asian Silicon Valley, Green Energy Technology, Biomedical Industry, Defense Industry, New Agriculture, and Circular Economy, which drive growth in Taiwan's next-generation industries.
Admission regulations for key industrial departments
Students should have a basic Chinese or English language foundation upon enrollment. By their sophomore year, students must achieve TOCFL B1 level.
Inducements of key industries
Improve employability, cooperate with the government's talent recruitment policy, and stay in Taiwan to find employment in industries in the 5+2 field.

Shu Te University self-recruits overseas chinese students are welcome to confidently apply for admission in the second phase of the 113th academic year. If you are a holder of a foreign passport (non-Republic of China passport), please apply through the foreign student online system. If you are a Chinese national residing overseas, you can apply online at Overseas Chinese Students.

What category should I apply under?

Please pay attention to the following points:

1. Recognition of Overseas Chinese student status is determined by the supervisory authority of overseas Chinese affairs. The recognition of Hong Kong and Macau students, as well as Chinese students with foreign nationality, is done by the Ministry of Education.

2. Graduates from equivalent levels of schools abroad, in Hong Kong, or Macau, with graduation years equivalent to the second year of senior high school in the Republic of China, may apply with equivalent academic qualifications. However, upon admission to this university, they will be required to complete an additional 12 credits (totaling about 140 credits, based on the graduation credit requirements specified in the annual curriculum plan).
