INTRODUCTION
Founded in 1998, the Department of Fashion Design is the first academic department in Taiwan that integrates versatile design fields of hairstyling, make-up modeling, textile, clothing, and fashion accessories. Therefore, it is considered the first domestic department that demonstrates its versatility of artistic modeling. It aspires to incorporate not only artistry but also technology into fashion design, and also aims to incubate more professional designers, in order to accelerate globalization of the fashion industry in Taiwan. The department has also been certified by the Ministry of Education as one of the top departments among all the universities nationwide in each evaluation taken every four years, which has endowed us with a sense of responsibility to play a leading role in advanced education of fashion design.

INTRODUCTION
Degree of Hair Styling and Salon Management is to be established in 2020 in order to meet the demands of more workforce in this field as responded by related industries. This program is so closely interconnected with the hairstyling and salon industry that collaborative teaching with experts from enterprises is essential. Meanwhile, promotion of high-quality in self-image and teamwork is also emphasized in the program to comprehensively enhance work ethics in the domain.
This degree program incubates professionals of hairstyling and salon management via sophisticated curriculum design, expecting them to be top experts equipped with professional techniques, aesthetics, and management skills.
FACILITIES AND LABS
STU is planning to construct a brand-new building particularly for this degree to incubate high-level talents of hairstyling and salon for innovation and beauty. This degree also provides related advanced equipment and supplies to meet the demandsof future talents in this domain.
