Department of Information Management of Shu-Te University and JMC Electronics signing a strategic alliance once again 110.11.23

[Kaohsiung News] The department of Information Management of Shu-Te University ( MISU）and JMC Electronics CO., LTD (JMC Electronic) as the industry-university cooperation has been working together for more than three years with the Industry-Academia Collaboration Program since 24th of June in 2019. Our Vice president, Alan Yein and the Director of JMC Electronics recently signed an agreement for strategic partnerships in education. 32 Indonesian students who participated New Southbound Indonesia Industry-Academia Collaboration Program in 2019 will be graduated next year. Students who are participated on site will be presenting the collaborative planning in the policy between Taiwan and Indonesia. The implementation time of the strategic alliance will begin from now until the 30th of June in 2026.

The Taiwan government has vigorously promoted the new southbound policy plan with mutuality benefit and diversified development based on principle on the needs of Taiwan’s economic development to become a multinational country. Making use of Taiwan’s advantages on technical and vocational education and rich enterprise resources，cultivating the relations of Southeast Asia’s economic and trade cooperation, talent exchanges, resources sharing, and regional links, enhancing domestic industrial production capacity.

Our Vice president Alan Yein indicated that they are the first batch of industry-academia students in Shu-Te University. The industry-academia class mainly focusing on recruiting students who want to learn and have financial needs. Every curriculum design, Chinese language learning, guidance class are systemically planned for the students. He is also looking forward to the students quickly integrating into campus, becoming familiar with Chinese, enjoy learning in your life, study, career, and internship. Regardless of employment or further study in the future, they will be able to choose the direction they want without any worries.

Director He Sheng Tong pointed out students are not labor workers. While living in a foreign country, it is inevitable to have basic necessities, academic studies or emotional problems. Therefore, company cares about the guidance system while seeking industry-university partners. The whole team of the Department of Information Management of Shu-Te University has provided students with standardization and guidance in the past three years, which has made the company felt reliable, which is why we will have the second collaboration.

Industry-academia class Feng Xi Ya mentioned that she feels blessed studying in Taiwan, her Chinese language skills have improved and expanded her horizon. She is hoping to stay in Taiwan in the future.

Industry-academia class’s Ma Yi Fang said that he wanted to learn more, so he planning to study graduate school after graduation, have more in-depth understanding of her specialty.

The chairman of the Department of Information Management Hsu-Sheng Tsai stated that our university of the new Southbound Industry-Academia Collaboration Program under the policy of the Ministry of Education will recruit Filipino students. Next, concluding a strategic alliance of educational partners is creating a higher competitive advantage for students and strengthening the link between academic education and the corporate world and establishing integration on the application of the students’ strength conditions and abilities from each other’s professions. The students able to apply the academic knowledge from what they have learned in the course, and help the students to deepen and cultivate their own experience through their internship before completing New Southbound Industry-Academia Collaboration Program.
